Our house backs up to a park, which we love. It has a playground, which we love. We have privacy because there are no neighbors directly behind us, which we love. We have a very small yard (little maintenance) but nine-acres of open space in which to run and play, which we love.
The edge of the park that backs up to our yard is actually a field of weeds, which we don't necessarily love. However, over the past week, I've come to enjoy this field tremendously. Every time I look at the blanket of beautiful dandelions, I'm reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 6:28-30..."And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?"
Here is our field of weeds in all their beauty. I know. They're weeds, right? But they really are beautiful. I just love God's handiwork. Enjoy the view...
