We had the pleasure of spending last week in the Wisconsin Dells at Wilderness Resort. What a blast! This was our second trip to the Wilderness, with our first being in the summer time when
Abby was about eight months old (which was actually our last vacation). Watching Abby enjoy the water (and, of course, enjoying it ourselves) and even make a few little friends was so much fun.
I must say it was quite odd walking around in our swimsuits for a week and splashing and playing at the waterpa
rks (indoor, of course) when the temp was about 10 degrees outside. (This was the view from the skywalk between the building our room was in and the building where the waterparks are located.) Nonetheless, we soaked up the sun at the wave pool--where there's a clear roof and you can actually get a tan year round--and had plenty of fun in the water. Abby's favorite was the toddler swing over the water where she could bounce, spin and splash all at once. My favorite was a split between the lazy river and the big wave pool, and John's favorite was the thrill ride water slide, the Hurricane. Nearly airborne on a raft with three other people--NO, thank you! :-) Anyway, here's a glance at our week. We highly recommend the Wilderness Resort for a summer or winter vacation that's a blast for the whole family. Summer's nice because you can enjoy the outdoor parks at the resort as well. Winter's nice because it's much less crowded and less than half the cost. We recommend staying at Glacier Canyon Lodge, by the way, which is part of the Wilderness Resort. It has great lodge decor.

What fun!! It looks like you all had a great time! We are in the process of trying to schedule a get-away before Michael deploys in July. We are looking at an indoor water park in Tennessee. I hope you are all doing well!
I just tried to send you an email. I think we have an old address. When you get a chance would you send me you email. Thanks!
