at summer's end

It seems that Summer is coming to an end already, and we're ushering in Fall. We made the most of a gorgeous day today with a trip to the playground, the petting zoo and the orchard--our first of the season. I can't believe we haven't been to the petting zoo all summer. It's just 10 minutes from us! We thoroughly enjoyed our first and last visit of the season though. Abby insisted on showing her doll to the goats, pigs and bunnies. :) I believe the goat even gave it a "kiss." We also saw chickens, a peacock, llama, horses and sheep. What a blast!

Then it was off to the orchard where we discovered a hidden treasure...a dress-up corner! Abby absolutely loved trying on the princess dresses, shoes and accessories. It's certain to be a favorite spot for the Fall...from the cider slushies, apple donuts, pumpkin patch and apple orchard to the play area and dress-up corner. Lots of things to see and do! We love the orchard!
