a surprise picnic

We surprised John today with a picnic in the park at lunchtime. He usually comes home to have lunch with us, but the weather was gorgeous and a picnic was definitely in order! We had a blast, and John enjoyed the nice break outdoors.

She had to pack her own picnic basket with her play food. Too cute.

We played on the playground after lunch. Inevitably, Abby got wood chips in her shoe fairly often. Thankfully she's really good at taking off and putting on her own shoes! :)

Deep in thought about something...or probably watching someone, as she's known to do often...
