artist in the making

Okay, maybe that's a stretch, but there's an obvious difference lately in the objects Abby draws relative to the scribbles she was doing just a month or two ago. She's really starting to enjoy this easel more that my parents bought her. She loves to draw tiny objects and "letters" and tell me what they are..."a" for Abby, "m" for Mommy, the zoo, a house, the playground, a circle, a triangle, etc. She loves to paint as well, but it's something we haven't done a lot of this summer as it's been too nice to be inside much. We'll probably pick that back up as the summer winds down. For now, she loves to draw on her easel or scrap paper of any sort. (By the way, the objects on the paper in the picture that can be easily identified, those were draw by Mommy or Daddy at Abby's request. She's not that good yet. :))
