a beautiful picnic lunch

We pick John up from work today and went just down the road to U of I's Aboretum for a picnic lunch. Every time I've driven by the Aboretum I've made a mental note to go back and explore with Abby sometime. We finally went today, and what a gem it is! Gorgeous landscaping, lots of wide open spaces, a small lake and great wooded areas. We didn't have much time to explore, unfortunately, but we so enjoyed our picnic and a walk through the botanical garden. We can't wait to go back and really explore!
