just a fun day

What a fun day we had today! We picked up John at lunch and took Abby to "Touch-a-Truck" at a great park in our area. Basically, the idea is for little ones to have the opportunity to get up close and even in vehicles of all kinds--a fire truck, an ambulance, a school bus, a police car...you get the idea. We thought Abby would love it. Not so. She was a bit intimidated by all the big vehicles, especially the noisy ones. Oh well. :) It was a gorgeous day though, and we did enjoy some time to just run around at the park. Bonus...we also picked up my pool pass for the summer. Abby and I will no doubt be spending plenty of time there!

After we dropped John back off at work, Abby and I headed to another great park in our area to play. She ended up snoozing a little while in the stroller, which meant I got in a nice, long walk, and then we played on the playground and had a picnic under a shade tree. Good times!

Oh, and my day started like this...I was finally able to catch a video of Abby praying. She learned this long ago from her Boz the Bear videos and books and insists on saying it before meals and at bed time. So sweet...
